What better way to build the required flight experience for a professional career as a pilot and get paid to do it?  Whether you are gaining experience to further your career as a pilot or just love to pass on the knowledge of aviation to new pilots, then you want to become a Certified Flight Instructor or Certified Ground Instructor. There are several levels of Certified Flight Instructor, including Single-Engine Instructor, Instrument Instructor and Multi-Engine Instructor.

Our standard flight instructor programs are listed below, or we can tailor a program to fit your needs and schedule. Contact us for more information!

NexGen Aviation trains all of our CFI Initial candidates for their Multi-Engine Flight Instructor Certificate (MEI) first.  This satisfies the requirements of demonstrating instruction in a retractable gear airplane.   When you complete the Certified Flight Instructor Multi-Engine Course, you will be certified to teach all private and commercial flight training applicants in a multi-engine aircraft. After completing the MEI course, NexGen Aviation then trains candidates for their CFI or Certificated Flight Instructor Single-Engine Add-On.  This course requires no minimum hour experience and is based on pilot proficiency.  The certified flight instructor instrument license will allow you to teach instrument flight training students.

The certified ground instructor courses prepare you to teach in a classroom environment for private pilot training, instrument flight training, commercial flight training, and certified flight instructor applicants.

As an certified flight instructor you can:

  •  Give the joy of aviation and flying an aircraft to others

  •  Build flight time and gain experience

  •  Conduct check-outs and endorse pilots to fly complex, high altitude or high performance aircraft

  •  Conduct flight reviews and instrument proficiency checks

  •  Hone your own flying skills
